Dr. Berkey grew up in Cache Creek, B.C. She is a Thompson Rivers University graduate and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine at University of British Columbia. She and her husband, James Renkema, have moved to Kamloops with their daughter, Olivia, their dog, Mia, and cat, Mandy. Dr. Berkey is passionate about providing exceptional care to patients of all ages with gentleness and patience.

COVID-19 Infection Control Protocol
In accordance with BC’s Phase 2 Restart Plan, we are happy to announce that we are back in the office! All of us at Twin Rivers Dental have been busy preparing and cannot wait to see all of you again. With the guidelines issued by the Provincial Health Authorities and the CDSBC, we have made a number of changes to our office to ensure it is a safe environment for everyone. Below is a list of changes we have implemented:
  1. When booking your appointment you will be asked a set of questions used to determine if there are any special circumstances needed for your appointment.
  2. When you arrive for your appointment you will be asked to: sanitize your hands, answer the same questions again, have your temperature taken, and complete a form acknowledging the risk of COVID-19.
  3. While in the reception area we ask that you follow social distancing protocols.
  4. Only patients and one guardian (if required) will be allowed into the office.
  5. If possible we ask that you wait in your car or outside until your appointment. Call the office when you arrive and we will let you know when we are ready for you.
  6. Seating has been limited in our waiting room to allow for social distancing. All magazine and toys have been removed.
  7. You will be given a mouth rinse prior to receiving treatment
  8. Washroom use will be for emergencies only.
  9. We have reduced the number of appointments currently available to allow for enhanced cleaning between patients in both the reception and clinical areas.
In addition to those listed above, we have also adopted many other procedures and protocols to ensure our staff and patients remain safe during this time. Patients who’s appointments were cancelled over the past couple of months will be contacted directly to reschedule in the next couple of weeks. Priority will be given to emergency appointments. We thank all our patients for their kind understanding these past couple of months and ask for your continued support through this reopening process.
